The Let Them Theory

Mel Robbins shows how two phrases, Let Them and Let Me, stop you from trying to control other adults and put your energy back into your own choices.

10 parts, about 21 minutes to read.

Why read it

  • Teaches a two step approach, Let Them then Let Me: stop trying to control others, then take charge of your own response
  • Applies it to stress, fear of other people's opinions, comparison, adult friendship, family conflict and heartbreak
  • Sets limits: it is no excuse to ghost people or ignore danger, and it separates support from enabling a struggling adult

Who it is for

  • People who exhaust themselves trying to manage other people
  • Adults who feel friendless after a move or life change
  • Readers living with a partner or relative who will not change
